Q – In which episode does Jimmy thow a microphone and storm out of the studio?
Answer: #523 "Passing the Mic with Pat Francis."
Q – Where did "Bag o' corn friend!" come from?
Answer: Episode #319 with Graham Elwood
Q – Which was Mike Schmidt's last episode as a weekly regular?
Answer: Episode #59
Q – Does anyone know which episode features Jimmy talking about the time he met Steve Perry? I assume it was a Pat Francis episode since he was involved, but that might not be the case.
Answer: Bryan_ from the forums at AST says it's episode 303 with Pat Francis. ASTer BrainRotMenacer adds that it occurs at 1:02:07. It was recapped in Episode 705 with Steve Almond.
Q – Can anyone tell me the Christmas episode in which Jimmy, Matt and Pat eat all the cookies? (from Aarika)
Answer: Replying to myself because it's, of course, episode 413 – also known as the "Gobs and Gobs" ep. It's not *truly* Christmas until I listen to this one. (Aarika)
Q – When was "Get down there and DO YOUR JOB!" uttered on the podcast as an admonition for men to, um, orally please their women?
Thanks to fan Tracie:
Rob Corddry in episode 402. Jimmy, Rob, and Matt were talking about 'fatherhood' books, and Rob said that one of them said that you should abstain from oral sex while the woman is pregnant. Rob disagreed. 39:30 into the episode.
Q – When Al was telling his story about Dice having the plates packed up, all I could think of was how great it would have been to hear Jimmy say "PAY FOR IT!" in his Dice voice. Do you (or anyone) know what episode Jimmy says "PAY FOR IT"? (submitted by Nitin)
No answer yet.
Q – On which episode do they have a taste test for various Neuro drinks (Neuro Bliss being one)?
The Neuro episode is (like all NNF taste tests) is a Dave Holmes episode, 726. Soapy Jizz! (Thanks Aaron M.)
Q – On which episode does Pat tell the story about his naked neighbor working on a "project"?
There are no notes for that one but it's 519.
Q – Anyone know the number of the ep where the "I can't even imagine!" started?
It originated with Matt telling a celebrity sighting story. He saw Al Pacino outside a restaurant while walking Zoe, and overheard Pacino say "I can't even fuckin' IMAGINE!" into the phone.
Notes for Episode 624 has this reference: "11:15 Re-telling the Al Pacino star sighting story" and "11:30 Exactly what is it that Pacino can't even fuckin' imagine?" So it must have originally been told prior to that.
I've searched any phrase I could think of, but can't find the earlier one. It could have been in season 5, and I didn't start the notes until season 6.
Maybe someone else knows…
Tracie says: The female guest was Janet Varney. At some point, she told Jimmy that he had only 3 more times to say the phrase so he'd better choose wisely. It must have been 506 because Matt's impression was in the Season 6 opening, right?
Update: The quote comes in a little past the 40 minute mark of episode 506.
Q – Which episode is the one where the guest references the addiction-related TV show where the girl in it is huffing computer screen spray and singing "I'm walking on sunshine?"
It's Episode 401, and the guest was Dave Holmes. (The other guest for that unusual double-header episode was Maria Bamford.) And the TV show being referenced was the "Allison" episode of Intervention. Thanks to Rich Galvin for coming up with the answer, with a Best-Detective-in-the-Room assist from Amanda Zimmerman.
Q – Which episode gave us the phrase / possible fantasy baseball team name "Holes of Color," who said it, and to what does the phrase refer?
It's episode 919 with Aisha Tyler. Eliot used the phrase as a non-racist euphemism for "black holes." Thanks to Carla Graham Mitchell, Mitch Tyo, and the other crybabies on the Never Not Funny Facebook fan page.
In which episode does Mike Schmidt tell the story about, uh, exposing himself and imitating a helicopter?
Episode 45 of Season 1. Thanks to NNFer Raj Kaup for finding it by looking at the episode titles and seeing one called "Look, it's a Helicopter!" Good work, Raj. You are the best detective in the room. If you are in a room full of sucky detectives.
In which episode did Jimmy's "Dirty Carson" impression originate?
Dirty Carson is first introduced in episode 17F with Josh Gondelman. (Thanks to Maximiliano Garcia Jr. on the Never Not Funny Facebook Fan Page)
